UK Civil Service company pivoting to Azure Logic Apps

A UK civil service company has invested in Azure Logic Apps to revolutionise their business processes and required JBI training to educate the employees.

Azure Logic Apps enables users to automate the execution of business processes and workflows and follows other Azure services, such as Azure Data Factory, by providing integration capabilities connecting the cloud and applications used on-site by the company to retrieve data from different sources. This civil service company controls significant amounts of data and thus the automation of manipulating the data is an important feature of Azure Logic Apps. Furthermore, Azure Logic Apps allows the business to build Enterprise application integrations, which unites their databases and workflows associated with business applications so that if any data is changed in one, it will be reflected in others and thus ensuring that all information is consistent. Finally, the business needs Azure Logic Apps to provide diagnostics and auditing to gain insight into their applications. From this insight, Azure Logic Apps provides a space to experiment with different workflows and test them in controlled environments.

The company communicated to JBI that they wanted a 3 day training course that removed some of the introductory elements that is usually in the Public 4 day course. JBI also tailor made the course for the company by creating exercises with adaptations that the employees would regularly encountered and also by using some data that the company provided. To ensure that the company reached a working understanding of Azure Logic Apps, several objectives were set:

To understand and build an Enterprise Application Integration app, implementing VETERO and enabling hybrid integrations
Introducing and implementing Microsoft Azure Service bus
Gaining an understanding of Advanced Apps, specifically calling external logic and looping through data
Building custom API apps
