DAY 1 Course Overview: The Microsoft 365 Copilot Training Course provides a comprehensive introduction to integrating AI capabilities into daily workflows using Microsoft 365 Copilot. Participants will learn how to utilize Copilot's features across various Microsoft 365 applications to automate tasks, generate content, and facilitate collaboration. The course covers prompt engineering techniques, best practices for effective AI interaction, and hands-on exercises to reinforce learning.

DAY 2 Pre-requisites: Having attended the Microsoft Copilot 365: Introduction course or having equivalent experience with Copilot 365. All the features covered will require a Copilot 365 license and the administrative features will require administrative permissions. Course Overview: The Microsoft Copilot 365: Advanced course provides a comprehensive introduction to advanced uses cases for Copilot and for its administration and monitoring.

Yes. Microsoft 365 Copilot is updated frequently and this course is continuously reviewed to reflect the latest Copilot features, prompt engineering best practices, security and governance changes, and adoption guidance from Microsoft. Delegates learn skills that reflect how Copilot 365 is being used and managed in organisations right now.
This is a two-day, instructor-led training course that provides comprehensive coverage of Microsoft 365 Copilot — from core productivity features and prompting techniques through to advanced use cases, security, governance, and organisation-wide adoption. Day 1 focuses on using Copilot effectively across Microsoft 365 applications. Day 2 covers advanced workflows, administrative controls, licence management, monitoring, and strategies for driving Copilot adoption across a team or organisation.
The Microsoft Copilot 365 Introduction course is designed for users who are new to Copilot and covers the fundamentals of using it across Microsoft 365 applications. The Deep Dive course goes significantly further — it assumes some prior experience with Copilot and covers advanced use cases, complex workflow automation, prompt optimisation, and critically, the security, governance, and monitoring topics that IT administrators and productivity champions need to manage Copilot at an organisational level. Day 2 of the Deep Dive course effectively covers the same ground as the standalone Advanced course.
The course covers Microsoft 365 Copilot across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. For each application, participants learn both introductory and advanced use cases — including drafting and summarising documents in Word, analysing and transforming data in Excel, creating presentations in PowerPoint, managing emails and meeting summaries in Outlook, and collaborating and capturing actions in Teams. The course also covers Copilot Chat as a standalone productivity tool within the Microsoft 365 environment.
The course covers practical prompting techniques that help delegates get more accurate, relevant, and useful responses from Microsoft 365 Copilot. This includes how to structure prompts clearly, how to provide context and constraints, how to iterate on and refine Copilot outputs, and how to apply different prompting strategies for different task types — such as summarisation, drafting, analysis, and planning. The techniques are taught in the context of real Microsoft 365 applications rather than as abstract theory.
Day 2 covers the administrative and governance aspects of Microsoft 365 Copilot in detail. This includes managing agent access and permissions, controlling which content Copilot can access and setting exclusions, understanding how Copilot handles organisational data within Microsoft's security boundaries, managing licences and user entitlements, and applying governance policies to ensure responsible and compliant use. These topics are essential for IT administrators, security leads, and anyone responsible for deploying and managing Copilot at scale.
The course covers how to monitor Copilot usage across an organisation using Microsoft's built-in analytics and reporting tools, how to assess user engagement and identify where Copilot is and is not being used effectively, and how to build and execute an adoption strategy that encourages consistent, productive, and responsible use. This is particularly relevant for productivity champions, IT teams, and managers who are responsible for ensuring their organisation gets value from its Microsoft 365 Copilot investment.
Day 1 is accessible to Microsoft 365 users with no prior Copilot experience, though familiarity with the core Microsoft 365 applications is assumed. Day 2 requires either prior attendance on the Microsoft Copilot 365 Introduction course or equivalent hands-on experience with Copilot in a Microsoft 365 environment. Administrative features covered on Day 2 require administrative permissions in a Microsoft 365 tenant, which delegates should confirm with their IT team before attending.
Microsoft 365 Copilot requires a qualifying Microsoft 365 licence — such as Business Standard, Business Premium, E3, or E5 — plus a Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on licence. Some features, particularly those covered on Day 2 relating to governance and administration, also require appropriate administrative roles within the organisation's Microsoft 365 tenant. The course covers licensing considerations as part of the governance module, and JBI recommends delegates confirm their licence status before attending.
The course is suitable for Microsoft 365 power users who want to go beyond the basics and use Copilot to its full capability; team leaders and managers who want to integrate AI into their team's daily workflows; IT administrators and productivity champions responsible for deploying, governing, and driving adoption of Copilot across their organisation; and professionals in any role who want advanced skills in AI-driven content generation, task automation, and productivity improvement within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Yes. The Microsoft Copilot 365 Deep Dive course can be delivered as a customised closed-group programme for corporate teams, onsite at your organisation or online. Content can be tailored to your organisation's Microsoft 365 environment, licence level, specific applications in use, and the particular workflows or productivity challenges your team wants to address. JBI has delivered Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft AI training for corporate clients including the NHS, BBC, RBS, Sky, EDF, and Capita.
